Lorri is a former-corporate accountant-turned writer who lives in Southern California with her husband, daughter, two dogs and a few scrub jays. Her novel, Nellie was inspired during her ancestry search, whilst building her family tree. While searching her mostly New York City ancestors, she stumbled upon a distant cousin who moved to Windham, Connecticut and whose family worked at the ‘Thread Company’. Then she noticed that the entire Census page was filled with townspeople who worked at the same company. A little more research and she had her premise of the book.
